Reverend Mike Knauff

Pastor

Pastor Mike Knauff has served as a Lutheran pastor for over thirty years in various size congregations in various settings across the U.S.A.: Frewsburg, New York; Fairfax, Virginia; Castle Rock, Colorado; Greenford, Ohio and now here in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mike married his college sweetheart, Deborah and they have three grown boys: Adam, Stephen, and Caleb, who have blessed them with wonderful daughter-in-laws and one granddaughter. In his free time Mike likes to be with family and play with his elderly pound puppies (Roo an Australian shepherd mix, Pippin a Bichon Frise mix). Some of his other interests include solving sudokus, camping, hiking, fly fishing, playing guitar, basketball, cards, or board games. His greatest thrill is helping people get closer to God in their faith walk.

Greg Stultz

Bookkeeper

Let me introduce myself. I am Greg Stultz the current Bookkeeper for FELC.
My background in the accounting field comes from being the Business Manager for Morrison Knudsen, what used to be a worldwide construction firm headquartered in Boise, Id. And yes, I was able to go around the world with them on numerous construction jobs. What a great way to see the world. When we moved here in 1993 I worked for MK at the site as an auditor. We decided to stay put and I continued to work for the various contractors . I retired after working at the INL for 18 years.
For fun for the past 20 years I have been running up and down the football field as a Football Official and have been involved in Babe Ruth and American Legion Baseball. I enjoy working with the kids participating in sports.

Michelle Hanson

Music Director

Hi! I’m Michelle Hanson. I am the chairman of the Worship & Music Team, the worship accompanist, and one of the choir directors here at FELC.
My earliest memories are of sitting on a little wooden bench in the Parish Hall at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton, Iowa singing praises to God during Sunday School. Music became a huge part of my life: I started taking piano lessons in 3rd grade and playing the saxophone in 5th grade. I went on to study music education at the University of Northern Iowa and was a Jr./Sr. High band director for 5 years after graduation.
I first came to Idaho to work for the Forest Service in Ketchum for the summer. I met Greg along the way that summer. We relocated to South Dakota for a couple years shortly after we were married. When Greg transferred to Idaho Falls in 1999, we were fortunate to find a wonderful church family here at FELC. I can’t imagine a better place to raise our family.
